Ooo Lala!!! If your makeup collection does not consist of something from the Dose of Colors line, I’m convinced that you have not lived. Okay, maybe I’m being a little bit dramatic …but since their inception 3 years ago there isn’t a single product that I have not loved. Anna, the founder of Dose of Colors, was a makeup artist turned business owner and she’s turned her love for the art of makeup into a thriving makeup company. As an artist, I appreciate the quality and dedication that she puts into the brand because every product is made with love and her customers in mind. Dose of Colors is mainly known for their liquid lipsticks, but they have recently expanded to pigments, brushes and their first makeup palette.
Colourpop is back at it again. This time it’s a collab with the beautiful Karrueche, model and former girlfriend of Chris Brown. She has made a name for herself in the industry and has teamed up with Colourpop to release the KaePop Collection. There has been quite a few collaborations circulating recently but this one is by far one of the most extensive. There are 3 liquid lipsticks, 3 lip liners, 4 eyeshadows and 3 cheek products. It is a predominately neutral collection geared toward products that favor consumers of medium to deeper skin tones. These products (especially the lippies) can be used across the skin tone spectrum, which I think is great! As per usual you can find swatches and my full review below:
Hi Lovies! I am back with another review using these beauties by Tarte Cosmetics. Before we jump into this post, can we just take a moment to appreciate this background! I literally look at it and die. I have been saving this picture for a few weeks, but I was finally able to sit down, try this new line out and share this amazing product with you all. This is a throwback pic from Kauai, Hawaii. One of the most magical places on Earth and I was so grateful to be able to experience it with my Tarte Cosmetics family, who are some of the sweetest and most genuine people ever.
Tarte has been killing the game with fabulous product launches almost every month! I was so excited when I tested out this line, because I have itching to break out of me matte rut, and these have kickstarted my love for traditional lipsticks again.
Colourpop Cosmetics is back at it again with a new launch! This newer company has taken social media by storm with a variety of fabulous products; at a very reasonable price. The newest edition to their line are the Ultra Satin Liquid lipsticks which they consider the younger sister to the Ultra Matte Lippies. I am a matte girl at heart, but it’s nice to have options when I’m feeling a bit adventurous.
Every once in a while a palette is created that’s so beautiful, you almost feel guilty for using it. I was so excited when I heard that MannyMUA was collaborating with Makeup Geek Cosmetics to launch a new palette. If there is one thing artists do well, it’s launching the best collabs since they know exactly what to look for regarding quality, pigmentation, functionality, versatility and packaging.
The start of the new school year has rolled around and for those of us out of school, the leaves are starting to change and the cooler nights are creeping in. This time of year calls for us to put away our bright lipsticks & colorful palettes. If you’re like me, the summer makes you come alive and the only thing that helps ease the transition is New fall palettes and deep toned lipsticks. Colorpop Cosmetics has recently launched two new collections that leave you slightly excited for the cooler months.
Sigma Beauty has collaborated with the stunning Camilo Coleho to create this beautiful collection. Each of these products can be used together or separately to achieve the perfect “Nightlife” signature look. For those of you that follow my blog know that I am a fan of the Sigma Beauty line. Their packaging is always top notch and the products are nothing short of amazing. My two favorite products in the collection are the glitter handle brushes and 12 pan palette.
It’s been far too long since I’ve done a blog post. Life always has a way of altering things just when you get into a comfortable routine. I have still been pretty active on my other social media platforms, because they’re more on the go and easier to maintain. A blog post does take me more time because I like to be in a nice calm place to channel all of my writing juices. Anyway, the tides of life are calming and I’m back at it. I will try my best to catch up on the ton of reviews and posts that have been on hold. Anyway, enough with the rant. Let’s get to the review.
So Sigma has released *insert drum roll* their new line of Sigmatech Fiber brushes. And I must say, they have quickly become some of my favorites. Firstly, let’s talk about what makes them so special.
La Splash Cosmetics has released a beautiful array of matte lipsticks!! They are reasonably priced and comparable to some higher end liquid lipsticks.
Find Swatches for my entire collection below (click on each picture to enlarge). Most of the shades require one layer, however some tend to be slightly patchier and require an extra layer to achieve an opaque look. The drying time is between 3-5 minutes.
As summertime approaches everyone is on the search for that “glow”. A lot of makeup artists find it hard to tone it down during the colder months, but now that the warmer climate is upon us it is totally acceptable to pack on the highlight!
