Colourpop Cosmetics is back at it again with a new launch! This newer company has taken social media by storm with a variety of fabulous products; at a very reasonable price. The newest edition to their line are the Ultra Satin Liquid lipsticks which they consider the younger sister to the Ultra Matte Lippies. I am a matte girl at heart, but it’s nice to have options when I’m feeling a bit adventurous.

Here are my thoughts: 

Texture: It is very similar to the Ultra Mattes in reference to how the product feels during application. Some of the formulas are slightly thicker than others, and I found that the deeper shades usually need 2 coats of product. The color payoff is consistent with the rest of the line. High Color Payoff.

Drying Time: Since this product is NOT a matte formula, it does not completely set. I would consider it a hydrating liquid lipstick. It’s similar to a traditional liquid lipstick in a tube with a longer wear.

Wear Time: After eating and drinking, I needed to reapply to the center of my lips, which is pretty standard with all lip products. Compared to matte lipsticks, you should be more careful when wearing this product because it is not kiss proof, but does stand the test of wear time.

Range: The color range is glorious. There is a shade in this collection for everyone regardless of skin tone & preference. The shades range from nudes to deep red, and a few fun colors in the mix.

Price: These are priced at $6.00 per lipstick, which I think is a steal. You can’t really beat that.
