Tarte Review: Lippie Paints, Tartelette in Bloom Palette & Lip Pencils

Tis’ the season for Holiday products and new releases. Tarte Cosmetics has been kicking butt in the makeup industry and releasing such an amazing selection of products this year. I had the pleasure of checking out and playing with their New Collection for the past few weeks and I absolutely love it! It’s evident how much work and thought went into this line and as a frequent shopper of Tarte, great products like this are always appreciated.

My favorite product from the new collection is the Tartelette in Bloom Palette. I am a sucker for neutral palettes but this one takes the cake. It is the perfect mix of light and dark mattes with a few shimmer shades. The huge mirror also makes it ideal for on the go application and the sleek case makes it super simple to pack in your purse or carry-on.

The palette consists of 12 shades, 9 of which are matte and the final 3 are shimmery. The texture of the shadows has a smooth, velvety feel and each shade is pigment packed. Each swatch was done without a primer, applied directly to the skin.

I was super excited to try their new lip products, due to my sick obsession with liquid to matte formula. The formula of the product is more similar to  a cream rather than a liquid. It applies smoothly and lasts about 4-5 hours before a light touchup (which is mainly focused on the center of the mouth). I also love how the names are super trendy. (Release date to be announced)

Tarte also released 10 shades, which seem to correspond with the Lippie paints. The product winds up out of the tube and the texture is very creamy. I would suggest winding up a small amount of product at a time to avoid snapping the pencil.

Mood Ring
Latergram
Turnt Up
On Fleek

Thirsty
Boho
Magic Wand
