The start of the new school year has rolled around and for those of us out of school, the leaves are starting to change and the cooler nights are creeping in. This time of year calls for us to put away our bright lipsticks & colorful palettes. If you’re like me, the summer makes you come alive and the only thing that helps ease the transition is New fall palettes and deep toned lipsticks. Colorpop Cosmetics has recently launched two new collections that leave you slightly excited for the cooler months.
If you aren’t familiar with Colourpop super shock shadows they are definitely one of the best new brands in the industry. They offer super pigmented and rich products at a great price. The individual shadows are $5 each. I find the metallic shadows are best applied with the finger compared to a brush. The consistency is similar to a very soft pressed pigment that goes on ultra smooth and velvety.
Let’s take a look at the new eyeshadows:
“Forever Freshman” Collection
Crimper- Soft gold with multi-dimensional gold glitter in a Metallic finish; Koosh- Icy silver taupe in an Ultra-Metallic finish; 90210- Greyed out taupe softly sprinkled with pink and gold glitter in a Satin Luxe finish; Melrose- True rust in a Matte finish; As If- Mid-tone cool taupe in a Matte finish; Baby T- Deep blackened blue in Matte finish
3 Metallic Shades: Crimper, Koosh, 90210
3 Matte Shades: Melrose, As if, Baby T
Swatches (Left to Right. No Primer) Crimper, Koosh, 90210, Melrose, As if, Baby T
The “Back to Cool” Lippie Stix Collection
This new lippie collection comes with these 6 perfect fall shades that fit any occasion. Nudes are hands down my favorite shade of lipstick. These offer you a few choices when it comes to neutral lipsticks while still keeping it fun. The deeper shades can be combined for an ombre effect or the obvious vampy lip. There are a few different formulas that come in this set. There is one creme finish, four matte finishes and one satin finish lipstick. The wear on this product is similar to traditional lipsticks. They need to be reapplied after eating and drinking. The creme finish lipstick is obviously the creamiest and shiniest of the bunch and the satin gives off a light sheen. The matte finish lipstick are not completely matte as these still have a moisturizing feel to them with the tiniest amount of sheen. There are a great option for the cooler months when lips tend to be drier due to the temperature changes.
Swatches (Left to Right) Choker (Creme Finish), Baewatch (Matte Finish), Mosh Pit (Matte Finish), TGIF (Matte Finish), Out of Sync (Matte Finish), Too Sexy (Satin Finish)
The individual lipstick stix are $5 each, with the collection being $30. Find the link below.
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my bog post. Is there anything that you would like me to review? Leave me a comment. ❤
