Fall Softly Collection by Sigma

Hi Lovies. I am back with another review. Two days ago I received this lovely package from Sigma. They never fall to amaze me with their extensive collection of gorgeous makeup and brushes. If you read my last Sigma review, the Steady Glow collection mainly consisted of bronzy and shimmery products which all warm up the skin beautifully, especially in the summer months. This collection takes you in a completely different direction, but not in the way you may have planned.

Fall Collections are usually filled with cranberry shades, plum tones, deep greens and any other shade that reminds you fall and the leaves changing. That is usually the tradition. Which I particularly love. My skin tone is definitely warmer with yellow undertones, so I tend to lean toward golds and deep reds. But Sigma decided that they didn’t want to be traditional and I actually love what they came up with.

Sigma also released these 3DHD brushes. They are created with a point in order to get in every crease with whatever product you like including cream, liquid and powder products. They also have a small precision brush which I like to use to contour my nose and for a soft contour right above my eye socket. Have any of you tried these new fab brushes? Leave a comment below.

Fall Softly Eyeshadow Palette: All of the shades are really soft with the exception of two shades in the eye shadow palette which give you the option to smoke out your look or to create a softer night time look without taking it overboard. The texture of these shadows are very similar to their last collection. They are soft and blend really well together. 9 out of the 12 shades are matte, which is great because so many other palettes have an abundance of shimmery shades, so this gives you a nice offset.

These are the swatches for the Fall Softly Palette. Pertaining to my skin tone and deeper some of the shades are a little light and you may need to use additional product or to mix it with another shadow to get that color pay off. I do wish that there was 1-2 matte shades that were a bit warmer because they would have been perfect transition colors. I think this is a great overall palette and if you are fair skinned or have cooler or neutral undertones, this palette would be perfect for you!

New Lip Bases! This product is pretty cool. They are similar to jumbo lip pencils. You can either wear them as an all over lip product or underneath a lipgloss. I like the texture and pigment of this product. I would say they are semi-matte but don’t over dry your lips. Just make sure you exfoliate before applying any matte or semi-matte lip product.

New Lip Vex! A girl can never have enough lip glosses. These are the new additions to the collection. These are great to just throw in your bag, because they are small and convenient. I also like that they don’t have a strong smell and they aren’t super sticky.

Fall Softly Powder Blushes: One of my biggest struggles is finding blushes for myself. There is a particular look that I want and I have only been able to find 2 other blushes that I love. In this collection I found two that I love and two for the summer. I personally don’t wear much pink blush unless I am doing a super fresh faced look and I want a flush of color then I will reach for a pink blush. But I generally lean toward peach and tan colored blushes. Once in a while I will reach for something that has a hint of cranberry. But that is for another post.
